Activities and Facilities

The South West Model Engineers Association provides an environment and facilities for Members to pursue their model engineering hobbies. This includes locomotives, traction engines and other modelling interests. While primarily a 7.25 inch gauge track layout, other gauges are provided including an elevated track. Locos can be stored on site in the round house and there is a well equipped workshop for construction and repairs. The Club provides "public run days" once a month as well as special events. You do not need to own a locomotive to be a member as we welcome and encourage anyone who would like to join and help run our operation. Training in all aspects of running a railway will be provided.
